Meet Sami Riggs
Sami Riggs is a singer-songwriter from Dry Ridge, Kentucky, whose music explores themes of lost innocence, friendship, love, and the beauty of everyday life. With a sound that blends front-porch country charm, the raw honesty of folk, and the catchiness of pop, Sami draws inspiration from legendary artists like Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, and Dolly Parton.
She made her Nashville debut in April 2024 at Rebel Rouser Rounds and has since opened for touring artists Blake Tyler and Noah Smith. Sami was also featured in The Crooner Circus Songwriter Festival in Newport, Kentucky, where her storytelling and stage presence continued to win over audiences.
Her 2024 single “Black Sheep,” produced by Noah Smith, marked a stylistic shift in her sound—paying tribute to her Southern roots while showcasing a more grounded, introspective tone. Building on that momentum, Riggs and Smith have teamed up again for her highly anticipated debut EP, Backwoods Bound, which will be available on all streaming platforms starting August 1, 2025.
Sami’s latest single, “Galaxy,” co-written and produced by Brian Lovely of Blessid Union of Souls, highlights her lyrical depth and collaborative spirit. In addition to her original music, Sami has also begun exploring humorous and topical songwriting, creating parody songs about the Cincinnati Bengals and the insurance industry—a testament to her creative range.
Looking ahead, Sami is focused on expanding her artistic reach—from writing commercially and exploring new genres to growing her fan base through social media, writer’s rounds, and house concerts.
